Natalia ANDRIANOVA

Lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In 1994 she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Kyrgyz National Polytechnic Institute. Works in the medium of photography. Participant of regional and international photo exhibitions. Natalia has initiated several artistic projects in connection to photography and design. Member of the editorial group of Design.kg journal.

Said ATABEKOV

Installation, objects, photo and video artist. In 1992 he graduated from the Kasteev Art School in Shimkent. Both as an individual artist and as a member of the Shimkent art group Kyzyl Tractor (Red traktor) has participated in more than fourty international forums, such as the 51st Venice Biennale (2005), Time of Storytellers (Helsinki, 2007), Paris Photo Biennale Photoguai – 2009. His solo exhibitions were organized in Kazakhstan (Almaty, 2007) and in Italy (Milan, 2009). Lives and works in Shimkent, Kazakhstan.

In 2010 he graduated from the Bekhzod National Art and Design Institute in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Works in the media of digital photography and video. He has participated in several exhibitions in Uzbekistan.

Galim MADANOV

In 1985 he graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty of National Film Institute (ВГИК) in Moscow and in 2004 received his master’s degree in philosophy and political science at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Works in the media of painting, video and installations. He is the participant of more than a hundred exhibitions, among which are ten solo exhibitions (1992-2008) organized in Kazakhstan, France, Liechtenstein, Israel, and Great Britain. Often works together in an artistic team with Zauresh Terekbay. Lives and works in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Zauresh TEREKBAY

Author of installations and objects, independent curator. She has graduated from the Almaty Teacher Training Institute, Faculty of Foreign Languages and script writing course of the film studio Kazakhfilm. Participant of national, regional and international exhibitions. Initiated a number art and cinema projects, like the series of competitions and exhibitions Arts Against Poverty, Almaty, 2002. Lives and works in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Yerbossyn MELDIBEKOV

After finishing the Zhurgenev Academy of Arts (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Yerbossyn has been working as a sculptor, author of objects and installations, and photo and video artist. He has participated in many Kazakh and international exhibitions, like the 51st Venice Biennale (2005), the 4th Video Art Biennale in Israel (2008), and 14th Biennale of Sculptures in Carrara (Italy, 2009). Solo exhibitions took place in Kazakhstan, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Great Britain (1997 – 2010).

Alexander NIKOLAEV

Lives and works in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Received education from the Benkov National Art School (1987). He works in the media of video, photo, objects and installations. Participant of the 51st and 52nd Venice Biennale (2005, 2007), 17th Film Festival Kinoshok (Anapa, Russia, 2008), 2nd Biennale Fin del Mundo (Rossario, Argentina, 2009) and others. Author of several solo artistic projects, for example, the online exhibition On the streets of ancient Bukhara.

Marat RAIYMKULOV

In 2006 he graduated from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University (Bishkek) as physicist. Works in the format of black and white graphics and drawn animation. He is one of the initiators of the non-institutional youth group “705”, which combines theatre, visual arts and social activism (2005-2009). Marat participated in the work of the Brecht First Experimental Student Theatre of Avant-garde and Expressive Arts (Astana, Kazakhstan). His solo exhibitions took place in 2009, in Astana and Almaty, Kazakhstan. Now he lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Aleksey RUMYANTSEV

Video and photo artist, film director, 3D animator, author of installations and objects. Lives and works in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where he graduated from the Olimov Art College in 2010. He is a participant of exhibitions and festivals, such as the 52nd Venice Biennale (2007), Video Art Festival Пусто (Moscow, 2007), М’АРСово Поле – Содружество (Moscow, 2009), Kurye International Video Festival (Istanbul, 2009). Often works together with Alla Rumyantseva.

Alla RUMYANTSEVA

She graduated from the Tajik Technological University, Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 1999. Works in various media. Participant of exhibitions, like Параллель (Dushanbe, 2006), Video Art Festival «Пусто» (Moscow, 2007), Личинки будущего (Moscow, 2009), Kurye International Video Festival (Istanbul, 2009) and others.

Adis SEITALIEV

Lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In 1992 he graduated from the Surikov Academy of Arts in Moscow. He has experience in teaching painting and drawing (1998-2002, Kyrgyz National University of Construction, Transport and Architecture). Works as a painter, graphic artist, video artist and film director. Participant of exhibitions, like the Graphics Biennale in Chamalières (France, 2010), 4th Baku Biennale Aluminum (Azerbaijan, 2009), Graphics Biennale in Novosibirsk (Russia, 2001, 2003, 2005).
